Unifying Efforts To Accelerate Progress

The Zero DFV program is an ambitious, whole-of-community initiative working toward a future free from domestic and family violence. Delivered by Run Against Violence, it brings together local residents, businesses, government, and frontline services to align efforts and take coordinated action. Rather than tackling the issue in isolation, Zero DFV unifies what communities are already doing—education, awareness, support, and prevention—into a shared strategy designed to stop violence before it starts.

Guided By The Zero DFV Navbook

At the heart of the program is a practical, place-based approach. Communities co-design a clear action plan (the “Navbook”), identify priority goals, and work together across a structured yearly cycle to build momentum and accountability. The focus is on primary prevention—shifting attitudes, strengthening respectful relationships, and creating environments where violence is less likely to occur in the first place. Zero DFV is bold by design: it sets a clear, measurable outcome and backs it with a framework that empowers everyday people to contribute, whether that’s through local initiatives, events, or simply starting conversations. It’s not just a program; it’s a coordinated movement that turns community intent into real, lasting change.
