building communities free of family violence. Watch and Listen now!
We’ve Covered 1.5 Million Kilometres. Now Let’s Move Even Further.
Together, the Run Against Violence (RAV) community has already walked and run over 1.5 million kilometres—the equivalent of 2.2 billion steps. But what matters most is the real-world impact behind those numbers.
Thanks to the past support of Team Captains and RAVers, funds raised through this event have:
Trained over 1,000 Love Bites facilitators across Australia.
Reached young people in communities across the country, including rural, regional and remote areas, where access to respectful relationships education is often limited.
Invested over $500,000 into respective relationships training via NAPCAN’s Love Bites Program.
Engaged 14,000+ participants from 316 local government areas, sparking thousands of caring conversations.
This is what some of the LoveBites facilitators and program recipients have to say about the RAV Virtual Challenge
“With thanks to the outstanding commitment and support from the team at RAV, we now have 21 newly trained Love Bites facilitators in Mount Isa, Doomadgee, Normanton and beyond… creating safe spaces for open dialogue and learning.”
— Sarnia Ralston, NAPCAN QLD Manager
“This program is one of the best I’ve ever participated in. I feel confident and ready to bring this education to our students.”
— Penny Kellaway, Aboriginal Education Worker, Darwin NT
Without the generosity and commitment of the Run Against Violence Community and the tireless efforts of NAPCAN to support young people, this event would not have been possible. The training of Derby’s First Nations people and allies to advance Respectful Relationship Education in the Kimberly, strengthens young people's capacity to grow into empowered, respectful leaders in this remarkable country.
Thank you Run Against Violence and thank you NAPCAN.
